Krystal Harris
Author Krystal Harris never imagined herself as a children’s book author. She started writing after her daughter was born, and likes to think that her daughter was and continues to be her inspiration. The most important aspect of every story Krystal writes, is that it must have a strong message and lesson to inspire her young readers—she truly believes that there is a lesson to be learned from everything.

Interesting Facts About Me!
- I was born in Trinidad & Tobago and came to Canada with my family when I was 3 yrs. old.
- I loved watching cartoons as a kid, and still do! But now, I can use my daughter as an excuse to watch them.
- I left a high paying job at 29 yrs. old to go back to school. I completed a 2 year program for Broadcast Journalism.
- I've been a Production Assistant on various music video shoots and movie pilots.
- Back in 2015, I had the amazing opportunity to be an extra on set for the movie Suicide Squad.
- I used to be a part of 2 bands and a singer and also had a short lived solo singing career. Now the only singing I do is to my daughter and she loves it!.
- I started and still run a small stationery business @KDV_Designs, where I create notebooks, journals, log books and children's coloring & activity books.
- I love the outdoors. If there's sunshine, I'm forever soaking it up, whether it's by going on a hike, or lounging on a beach.
